The Nurse Aide program at Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy in Michigan combines classroom lectures with hands-on practice in labs and clinical settings to expose students to the topics, concepts and skills Nurse Aides frequently use in the workplace.
Nurse Aides often assist in providing basic patient care to those in hospitals and long-term care facilities (such as Nursing Homes). Upon successful completion of the Nursing Aide training program offered at Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy in Michigan, graduates will be eligible to take the State of Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation.
A
certified nurse aide (CNA) must complete a training program and pass a knowledge and a clinical skills test in order to be registered and work in long term care facilities in Michigan.
