Tea has originated in China and to this day it is the main producer and distributor of tea in the world. China has produced a variety of tea types: green, white, red, oolong, pu-erh. While tea is not native to India it has become the second largest producer of the tea, mainly selling black and green tea.
Unlike Chinese tea, Indian tea is cut during production, which results in a stronger taste, but smaller shelf life. However, there are many other different tea regions in the world: Kenya, Turkey, Vietnam, Sri Lanka.
All of these countries have contributed to the tea culture of the world, but little do we know about them. Let's find out more about tea culture from different corners of the world.
