As Australia hits a huge milestone in vaccinations (70% receiving their first dose), things are starting to open up, and international travel is no longer in the distant future.
New South Wales has kick-started the reopening by trialling home quarantine starting mid-October 2021. This is very welcomed news compared to the current regulation of being confined to a hotel room for 14 days.

The current hotel quarantine still being used by most states is unaffordable and inconvenient to most Australians and off-putting and preventative to tourists. Luckily, the tourism minister has announced that home quarantine will be in place in all states by Christmas 2021. This means that separated families can be reunited, and visitors can once again, start planning their holidays.
