Despite the fact that eLearning is a relatively new word, it has attracted a significant amount of attention so far. Educational institutions and the corporate sector are now very interested in the variety of opportunities and benefits eLearning provides. Surprisingly, nowadays eLearning has invaded our lives, luring us to learn and interact on an almost daily basis.
The following infographic illustrates how eLearning has dominated the economy and the status quo of learning and teaching. Corporations are using eLearning as their second-most important method of training staff for the simple reason that it cuts operational costs by 50 to 70 percent. What is more, eLearning is good for the environment. Additionally, 77% of U.S. corporations report using online learning to enhance their employees training and educational programs. It is forecasted that by 2019, 50% of all college students will be engaged in eLearning. eLearning is $56 billion industry and grows fast.
