pte-vs-ielts-infographic-plaza-thumb The Pearson Test of English (PTE) was launched by Pearson in 2009 and thus is one of the latest entrants into the field of testing and certifying English language proficiency of non-native English speakers. On another hand, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standardized Test jointly conducted by British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment and IDP Education. In that context, there are the variety of differences between the both testing systems that are explained in this infographic. For example, PTE is fully computerized test while IELTS is paper based. When it comes to the differences between two testing systems, they are related to the components of speaking, writing, scoring, test results, test centers, and date availability and the cost of the test.
